Economist Luigi Zingales argues that American capitalism is changing and that economists have a duty to ensure that any changes will make the system better. The material is dense at times, particularly for listeners with a limited background in economics. Having Jonathan Davis as narrator is fortuitous as he helps make the book more accessible. He's an adept reader who is comfortable with the material and who recognizes that the average listener may not find the subject as gripping as the author hopes. Davis's style is best described as patient. He presents Zingales's complex economic arguments in a way that allows the listener to contemplate and digest them before moving on to the next thought.
