THE ARRANGEMENT

An alluring performance by Rosalyn Landor sets the tone for this charming Regency romance, with all its pomp, circumstance, and absurdities. Twenty-three-year-old Lord Darleigh, blinded in battle and suffering at the hands of his micromanaging mother, is looking for someone who will love him for himself, not his title. When fate throws him together with the insecure Sophia Fry, who is neglected by her relatives, Darleigh comes up with an arrangement that will save both of them. Landor’s inflections bring dimension to the protagonists, revealing not only their social propriety but also their wit and closeness as they good-naturedly observe those around them.
