Twenty-something Hannah Brencher felt lost upon her arrival in New York City after graduation from college. Try as she might, she couldn't find purpose in her life--until she came up with the idea of writing love letters to people who might also be feeling lost in their lives. Jorjeana Marie provides the narration for Brencher's memoir about her period of disconnection, spiritual exploration, and letter-writing project. The author's flowery prose is tiring, and Marie's voicings of the young male characters in the book sound forced. Nonetheless, her voice is youthful and reflective, fitting the story of a well-meaning young woman who seeks to do good. S.E.G. © AudioFile 2015, Portland, Maine [Published: AUGUST 2015]
