Carmen Rose's weak narration shines a spotlight on the inherent problems in this second installment in The Debutante Files. The romance between Lady Aurelia and Max, Viscount Camden, is simply not believable, and is certainly not helped by Rose's inability to create distinguishable voices for male characters. The only male who stands out as an individual is Struan Mackenzie, a Scotsman, and that's solely due to his accent. The women fare little better but can usually be differentiated. Those who are already invested in the series may enjoy this. K.M.P. © AudioFile 2015, Portland, Maine [Published: NOVEMBER 2015]
