Rodeo star Dane Bowden knows he's a goner when an enraged bull attacks. But Bell, a doctor, comes to the rescue as she jumps into the ring, shielding him, and then later performs the surgery that pieces him together. Healing on his ranch, Dane wants Bell with him, but Bell's traumatic childhood makes her cautious about giving her heart. Narrator Coleen Marlo voices Dane as a rough-edged cowboy who goes after what he wants. Equally fitting is her snarling, nasty voice for Dane's enemy, Rowdy, who turns his violent nature on Dane and Bell. But Marlo's long, elegant vowels aren't a perfect match for Bell. While Marlo does evoke Bell's old-soul introversion, her slight accent seems more appropriate for an urban debutante than a rural Montana doctor.
