THE LAST OF THE PRESIDENT'S MEN

by | Read by Campbell Scott

Contemporary Culture • 6 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2015

This audiobook centers on Alexander P. Butterfield, the man who told the world that Richard Nixon had installed a tape recording system in the White House. His bombshell testimony led to the events that ultimately forced President Nixon to resign in 1974 because of the Watergate scandal. Narrator Campbell Scott is an excellent choice for this audiobook. His low pitch and reserved tone mirror the book well. His narration is a perfect fit for the skulduggery of the Nixon White House. An eerie subtext to Scott's reading creates a tense atmosphere that's almost fun to experience. We know the ending, but getting there is the enjoyable part.
