ONE KING'S WAY On Dublin Street, Book 6.5

by | Read by Kieron Murray, Elle Nederhorst

Romantic Fiction • 5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2015

Narrators Kieron Murray and Elle Nederhorst alternate chapters told in the first person. Craig Lanaghan is a bartender at Edinburgh's Club 39 and a serial player until he meets Rain Alexander, with her vintage 1940s style. Rain doubts Craig is relationship material, but his persistence and their chemistry are an irresistible combination. When Rain's sister, Darcy, asks for a favor, Rain is torn between conflicting interests. The narrators' Scottish accents are recognizable although Nederhorst's is forcefully delivered. Murray convincingly depicts Craig's evolving love for Rain and their sensual encounters. Through Nederhorst's characterization, listeners understand that Rain's tough exterior hides insecurities that stem from her rocky childhood. Together, the narrators enhance the author's theme that opposites do attract. C.A. © AudioFile 2016, Portland, Maine [Published: JANUARY 2016]
