Gavin and James are an interesting combination to read this collection of essays about love. Through these essays, the "experts" dissect the nature and biology of love, what drives us to fall and stay in love, how we choose a mate, what brings meaning to a relationship, and what exactly is passion. Despite the illusive and nebulous nature of love, Gavin and James attempt to bring meaning to the subject. Where Gavin reads her selections with an intellectual bent, often sounding above the fray and highly scientific, James takes a much more down-to-earth and familiar approach, making love seem more fun and less scientific.
