BIG BIG SPACE!

Crazy Dog Audio Theatre out of Dublin, Ireland, is single-handedly trying to reintroduce the world to the pleasures of live radio comedy. These six silly and smart sci-fi parodies were specially commissioned by RTE Radio 1, the National Broadcasting Company of Ireland. The shows send up STAR WARS and STAR TREK and pay loving homage to the classic 1940s days of radio, but the sharp writing and inspired acting and effects allow these shows to carve out their own new niche.The wonderful use and inclusion of the live audience (in every episode the audience becomes a character in the play) is an extra plus. So, while we're waiting for radio to come to its senses and bring back more live drama and comedy--sit back and enjoy these gems. B.P.
