DIFFERENT JUST LIKE ME

The words "just like me" repeat throughout this story of April as she prepares for an upcoming trip to visit her grandmother. Mitchell uses this phrase and its counterpoint, "different just like me" to accentuate the similarities and differences among humankind. In town and in the garden we are alike, but our differences offer richness. Julia Gibson narrates at a steady pace, enabling the subtleties of the story to resonate.
