At the height of the controversy about the Keystone XL Pipeline, Ken Ilgunas walked the length of the planned project--from Alberta to Texas. In his trek of almost 2,000 miles, he met and talked to many people with different views about the pipeline, slept on many church floors and in many guestrooms (but mostly camped), and had a range of surprising adventures. Narrator Andrew Eiden has a strong, clear voice and does an excellent job of conveying the author's unique worldview. Ilgunas is slightly mysterious, never quite sure why he does what he does. Eiden does an excellent job of communicating Ilgunas's observations and wit without destroying the mystery. A great listen for anyone interested in the fate of North America's Great Plains.
