An elderly silent screen actress wants to marry the young man whose stock market tip made her rich. But he just wants to marry that fortune. Throw in some aging hippies running a New Age winery/meditation center/bed and breakfast, and you have a bizarre mix of circumstances for private detective Regan Reilly. Carol Higgins Clark narrates her own mystery with the full measure of humor that went into its creation. Her consistent comedic characterizations bring even more life to the story's players than the print version. Lucretia really does have a voice for silent films.
