A MURDER OF PROMISE

The murder of Mary Keegan, a highly regarded journalist, sends homicide detectives Kearney and Phelps in search of a possible serial killer. But all is not as it seems, and as the plot increases in complexity, tension and suspense build to an exciting chase. David Daoust portrays all the characters distinctly--so distinctly that his reading has a staccato quality. While the voices for Caucasian characters work successfully, the voice of the African-American character is not as persuasive.
