WHERE OLD BONES LIE

by | Read by Judith Boyd

Mystery & Suspense • 9.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1994

This mystery is one of British author Ann Granger's popular series featuring Superintendent Markby and Meredith Mitchell. Centered on an archaeological dig in the Cotswalds, the story features a cast of local and transient eccentrics. False clues abound, but are, of course, ultimately sorted out. Narrator Judith Boyd provides a competent and pleasurable reading. Her mastery of the diverse set of voices is uneven, with some consistently better than others. But her hesitancy is not confusing; one always knows who is speaking. Fans of the Markby/Mitchell team will find this to be an excellent addition to the series. R.E.K.
