Kudos to the author and Laural Merlington for creating these feisty librarians who take a strong stand for freedom of expression in this rollicking sequel to THE NINJA LIBRARIANS: THE ACCIDENTAL KEYHAND. Merlington ratchets up her delivery as 12-year-old twins Dorrie and Marcus Barnes visit Petrarch's Library in which resides a secret society of time-traveling librarians. The kids must find a key that could destroy their 21st-century Passaic, New Jersey, library. Listener will enjoy their spirited adventures as well as mini-biographies and history lessons. (The funniest is Dorrie's meeting 1912 suffragists and learning that ALL their views, even ones she disagrees with, must be defended.)
