Narrator Devon O'Day's authentic-sounding accent gives this Christian romance added authenticity. Needing a job, Kate Mason is relieved when her renter, Drake Newham, hires her as a nanny for his nieces. Drake has come to Downeast Maine to investigate the death of his brother. Soon, he and Kate realize they want to be together and maybe share a future. O'Day's Maine accent is accurate but inconsistent: Police chief Danny and Aunt Dixie reflect their Maine origins while Kate, who was raised in Maine, does not. In addition, Kate's interactions with her twin, Claire, are confusing because the pair are voiced similarly. Nonetheless, the enchanting descriptions of the region's blueberry barrens, rugged mountains, and rockbound coast illustrate Kate's bond to her home state.
