THE FIFTH LETTER

Secrets keep friends close--but what about secrets too dark to share with anyone? Listeners follow Joni, Eden, Trina, and Deb are 30-somethings whose tight-knit circle dates back to high school. The four are on an annual holiday that's become increasingly difficult to book amid the women's careers and families. One wine-fueled night the friends take turns anonymously typing their darkest secrets, to be printed out and read aloud together on each evening of the vacation. Narrator Candice Moll doesn't require much range in voicing the friends, and her steady narration serves the mysterious air of the letters better for it.
