LADY JAYNE DISAPPEARS

Narrator Justine Eyre is engaging in her portrayal of lovely Aurelie Harcourt, a young woman raised in a debtor's prison along with her father. Upon his mysterious death, she assumes his pen name, Nathaniel Droll, and goes to live with his indifferent and haughty family. There, she begins to solve the mystery of the long-ago disappearance of her mother and the possible murder of her father. Eyre's portrayals are flawless.
