Narrator Erin Bennett delivers the author's discussion of internet shaming with a mix of scary statistics, anecdotes of victims and perpetrators, and wishy-washy advice about how to be free from such derision in the digital world. Bennett narrates in an assertive voice with strong emphasis and effective pacing. She shows a more tender side when giving voice to people who discuss their own experiences. She understands Scheff's style and plays to it, which makes for an effective but overly dramatic production. Anecdote after anecdote combines with Bennett's narration to produce a reasonable fear in listeners that internet shaming could happen to them.
