GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: COLLECT THEM ALL

The Guardians find themselves on an intergalactic Groot-hunt after they discover that the Collector has cloned the tree-like entity and sold the clones throughout the universe. Scott McCormick shines as the main narrator with a deep voice that heightens the battle scenes. He's skilled at suggesting foreboding but can also lighten his tone for the story's few tender moments. As director, he also elicits fantastic performances from the rest of the cast, who sound quite similar to their cinematic counterparts. The musical score and sound effects, coupled with the snarky dialogue and colorful language, make this space-adventure, if not quite as entertaining as the movies, certainly a good holdover until the next installment.
