MOON OVER THE MEDITERRANEAN

Narrator Liisa Ivary zestfully captures each nuance in a delightful story that mixes mystery, romance, and travel. In 1961, Alabaman Robin Fletcher accompanies her Aunt Maggie on a Mediterranean cruise. As the women become acquainted with their shipmates, romance strikes, along with skulduggery when Robin notices the odd behavior of some of the travelers. Ivary delivers diverse accents and realistically portrayed personalities as well as luscious descriptions of food and drink. Robin sounds sweet and old-fashioned, while Aunt Maggie's Southern gentility adds to the fun. Ivary's spirited descriptions of stops in Spain, Greece, Italy, and Turkey serve as an entertaining travelogue. The author's own words about her travels and inspiration are the ideal conclusion.
