Regan MacCarthy has always been able to communicate with ghosts. On a trip to Ireland, she encounters Fionn MacCumhaill, who is not a ghost but who has been cursed since the third century. Narrator K.C. Sheridan has the listener easily envisioning the Irish landscape. Sheridan does a good job with mixing the Irish accent of Fionn and the Tennessee accent of Regan. Fionn has spent centuries tormented by the fae, and Sheridan helps the listener feel his anguish. The story runs the emotional gamut as Regan fights to free Fionn from his curse, even traveling through time to help him. S.B. © AudioFile 2017, Portland, Maine [Published: NOVEMBER 2017]
