AVEDON Something Personal

One of the two authors of this life portrait of Richard Avedon, the legendary photographer, is Norma Stevens, who was Avedon's business partner and confidante. Coleen Marlo provides a dazzling narration of this effervescent party of an oral history. Marlo's smooth, clear voice and sincere tone provide a lively expression of the life and work of this towering photographer. What a remarkable cavalcade of kaleidoscopic images are brought to life in Marlo's narration. The occasions on which Avedon photographed essentially all of the public figures we knew for decades are described in detail, including sessions with Twiggy and the Beatles.
