Clara runs a finishing school, which August's sister attends. He wants to purchase Clara's family's shipping business and goes to the school to achieve his goal. McNab has a precise way of speaking that lends itself to the upper-class characters. And she brings the lower-class characters to life as well. As Clara and August grow closer, McNab uses a languid tone for their more intimate moments. Overall, the story and narrator provide a satisfying listening experience.
