SPLINTERED SILENCE Bone Gap Travellers, Book 1

Set in an insular community of Irish Travellers in Tennessee, this mystery follows Brynn Callahan, a Traveller and veteran suffering from PTSD, and her service dog, Wilco. Narrator Amy Landon switches easily between Irish and Southern accents, even combining them when necessary, to create a strong sense of place. When the body of a redhead, decomposed beyond recognition, is found in the woods near the Traveller settlement, old secrets and prejudices held by the "settled" population are awakened. Landon gives a strong, emotive performance as Brynn struggles with inner demons related to both her Traveller upbringing and her military service.
