Therese Plummer's narration of Hannon's work creates an instant sense of dread that increases as the story continues. Her ability to capture the characters' wry sense of humor creates the sensation of stopping at the top of a roller coaster only to plunge down screaming as the next scene unfolds. Trish Bailey's memory lapses make her the suspect in a murder investigation after a tragic death is linked to her. Detective Colin Flynn is on the case but cannot seem to reconcile what he finds out with what he knows about Trish. A sinister force is at work, desperate that neither Trish nor Colin learn the truth. And their growing feelings for each other may prove too much of a distraction and cost them their lives.
