CAKE A Love Story

Rock superstar Jake McKallister and college junior Casey Caldwell have little in common, but sparks fly when they meet at a wedding. Jake's past has him guarding himself from developing deep relationships, yet he can't deny that there's something special about Casey. Narrators Andi Arndt and Joe Arden tell this story from dual points of view with varying results. Using little inflection, Arndt often sounds bored or detached. This is particularly noticeable during intense and emotional scenes. Arden's characters, especially the males, frequently sound identical, leaving some confusion as to who is speaking during group conversations.
