British narrator Christian Coulson displays depth in his portrayal of Konrad Platt, an aging, bro-obsessed, gym-and-party boy who is seeking meaning beyond his drug-and-hook-up-fueled existence. While Konrad keeps his story on the surface, Coulson's steady bass growl suggests the largely unspoken complexity that makes us care about Konrad's poor choices on his fruitless quest for a hot boyfriend. Coulson's accent work is acceptable, matching conventional expectations of different regional American speech, and Coulson is skilled at rendering the copious text and app lingo not usually meant to be spoken aloud. The story meanders without arriving firmly on point, but it sounds authentic and ultimately provides a fascinating look at a segment of our world.
