Narrator Liz Pearce grabs listeners from the get-go with this intriguing romance. Just before WWI, Willa Forsythe, master thief and violin prodigy, is caught up in intrigue and danger, along with her "family" of London con artists. Willa is hired to steal a code before the Germans do. In doing so, she must deal with handsome and successful Lukas De Wilde, son of a famous cryptologist, who has secrets of his own to guard, along with his heart. Pearce executes British, Belgian, and German accents with aplomb and infuses bravery and humor into these characters delivering an enjoyable listen.
