Narrator Nicole Poole again portrays the conflicted Raven, highlighting her thirst for justice with a no-nonsense cadence tempered by a slightly vulnerable tone. Though her partner, Christian, has begun to glimpse beyond Raven's tough exterior, neither he nor Raven is prepared for the cracks that develop in her emotional armor when she learns the truth of her supernatural conversion. Poole easily conveys Raven's frustration at learning that pieces of her memory have been altered, and determination rings in Poole's voice as Raven struggles to regain the truth.
