A PRINCESS IN THEORY

by | Read by Karen Chilton

Romantic Fiction • 11.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2018

Karen Chilton gracefully narrates a modern-day fairy tale. Grad student Naledi Smith simply does not have time for emails telling her she is the fiancée of an African prince. Prince Thabiso does not understand why Naledi has ignored every effort at contact his assistant has made. Chilton does a good job giving voice to Naledi's frustrations with her post-doc supervisor, as well as her annoyance with patrons at the dining hall where she works, not to mention her understandable reservations regarding Thabiso himself. While Chilton makes Prince Thabiso a charming and sympathetic character, the accent she gives him is more "generic African" than a specific regional accent. The chemistry between him and Naledi, however, is undeniable. All in all, a fun story, engagingly narrated. K.M.P. © AudioFile 2018, Portland, Maine [Published: MAY 2018]
