Nanette Savard and a full cast of performers sweep listeners into this action-packed thriller. A clandestine team of geologists and miners led by a half-Cree guide named Jake Trueblood explores natural resources in the Canadian wilderness. They accidently awaken a ravenous creature lurking below the surface of a marshy area. Nanette Savard's gravelly voice sets a steady pace while Zeke Alton, as Jake Trueblood, delivers a slower pace and singsong intonation. Laura C. Harris portrays Rachel in a high-pitched, trembling voice. The performance is accompanied by the sounds of creatures slithering through the marshland and a host of sound effects and music that accentuate the tension of this punk adventure tale involving mythical beasts.
