Firefighter Antonio Moretti's parents own a pizza shop. When his father has a heart attack, Libby Reed, a frequent customer, offers to help out. Narrator Carly Robins handles the chapters told from Libby's point of view, while narrator Alexander Cendese takes on the ones from Antonio's perspective. Robins aptly handles her characters, including Antonio's Italian-accented parents as well as a crotchety elderly neighbor. Cendese lends a richness to Antonio's voice but is less successful with the female voices. He gives them a high-pitched tone that is somewhat annoying to the listener. Most of the story is in Libby's voice, giving Robins the bulk of the narration. S.B. © AudioFile 2018, Portland, Maine [Published: AUGUST 2018]
