THE FEARLESS KING

Narrator Brooke Hayden gives voice to the second installment of the Kings series. The King siblings' world is turned upside down when their abusive father comes back to Houston to facilitate a hostile takeover of their company. Eldest sister Journey hopes, with business rival Frank Evans's assistance, to keep her father from destroying their family. Hayden's odd pronunciations and unusual pacing may distract the listener from the story's intrigue and romance. However, her raspy timbre and Southern drawl help to set the Texas location, and she animates the steamy exchanges between Frank and Journey.
