Rakish Nicholas Blacklowe, the Earl of Edgemont, has no intention of marrying, but the rogue is willing to tutor Briar in the ways of attraction in exchange for kisses for each lesson. Eyre is simply a master narrator. Her acting is arresting. Her characterizations are spot-on--from the lowliest of servants to the most elevated members of the ton.
