Three narrators weave a contemporary murder mystery involving the powerful influences of social media, fandom, and internet fame. When frenemies Kya and Fuse, voiced energetically by Sisi Aisha Johnson and Shawna Carter, discover their mutual friend, the up-and-coming DJ ParSec, has been murdered, they reluctantly team up to uncover the truth while dodging her rogue fans. Johnson wonderfully captures Kya's quiet strength as she opens up to Fuse, whose bold attitude is delivered by Carter. In an ominous role, Bahni Turpin brings a refreshing blend of spunk and tenacity to her performance of DJ ParSec in flashbacks, making her demise more tragic.
