HEADS WILL ROLL

Smart, snarky, and silly. In this Audible Original extravaganza with an ensemble cast, "Saturday Night Live" standout Kate McKinnon asks the question that should begin all medieval fairy-tale send-ups: "Am I a good enough evil queen?" The program features an original script, silly songs, and satirical commercial breaks created by McKinnon and her sister, Emily Lynne. An extraordinary cast of A-list actors including Meryl Streep, Audra McDonald, and the wonderful Carol Kane lend their support. As Queen Mortuana of the Night Realm goes off the psychological and literal edge to put down a humdrum peasant uprising, she puts up with an assortment of somewhat loyal minions, and puts on some great witchy performances. (The production uses language and sexual situations that might make even SNL blush.) All the fun is conveniently positioned for a sequel.
