DEBT OF HONOR

by | Read by John Rubinstein

Mystery & Suspense • 6 hrs. • Abridged • © 1994

War is declared between Japan and the United States. Japan attempts to destroy the heart of the U.S. financial structure and cripple its navy. Clancy creates a highly energized chain of events; courageous, patriotic characters; and an atmosphere of chaos, suspicion and revenge. Rubinstein delivers the dialects and emotions of the characters expertly, but his representation of generals, CIA agents, national security personnel and even the president of the United States lacks the power and assurance the listener expects. The story loses much of its excitement and adventure through Rubinstein's weak delivery. B.J.P. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: JULY 95]
