Listeners who accept these caveats will be rewarded with the haunting story of a small-town young woman who is determined to learn the fate of her only girlfriend, who disappears after they return from an ill-fated trip to the Nevada desert. Amoss's performance is rife with Cale's emotions and personality: her uneasy love for her grandfather, her surprising naïveté, the way she's almost resigned to her limitations but still not willing to completely let go of hope.
