Scarlette Hayes narrates a romance that flips a prevailing trope on its head. Billionaire Roxanne Medina wants to have a baby; Príncipe Mateo wants to save his country. While their relationship is initially quite contentious, Hayes lets listeners hear how it gradually develops into something far more complex and passionate as they get to know each other. Mateo has spent a significant portion of his life abroad, and Spanish is his first language, so Hayes gives him the barest hint of an accent--unlike Roxanne, who was raised in the Midwest.
