Author Sean Carroll is an excellent narrator of his own work. He reads lucidly and with contagious enthusiasm. There are no missteps. Of course, he knows his subject, and he never stumbles over technical words or ideas, foreign or domestic. His cogent summaries of the development of quantum versus classical physics almost makes the quantum ideas understandable, which is saying something. He himself leans toward the Many Worlds hypothesis, a fascinating idea that does away with many obstacles that other theories embrace. Yet he is not doctrinaire. If some other approach makes even more sense, he is ready to listen. D.R.W. © AudioFile 2020, Portland, Maine [Published: FEBRUARY 2020]
