A BETTER NEXT

After listening to Tavia Gilbert's narration, listeners will wish they could actually meet these best friends. In St. Louis, Jess needs her two besties more than ever after her husband, Arthur, abandons her and their children for a younger woman. Jess and her friends support one another through life events, both positive and negative. The women are strong and independent, demonstrating intelligence and perseverance as they cope with what life throws their way. Gilbert captures their wide range of emotions with nuance and depth, smoothly changing accents and vocal tone for each character.
