THE MOON-SPINNERS

Some listeners may remember this new audio production of Stewart's classic romantic suspense as a 1964 Disney movie. Nicola Ferris takes a holiday in a solitary region of Crete, only to be thrown into a mystery. While exploring the hills above the village, she comes upon a young Englishman who has been shot, and she can't help but get involved. Narrator Daphne Kouma breathes new life into the character, making her seem part of our contemporary world. With a pleasing British accent and a strong sense of timing, Kouma keeps listeners drawn into the action, changing her pace to add to the tension. She clearly embodies the character of Nicola, who gives a first-person account of her adventure and makes listeners want to cheer for her.
