GRACE Stories and a Novella

Narrator Mark Bramhall narrates these stories in measured tones, giving each word maximum value. The novella and five short stories that make up Dan Burns's latest collection all deal with imperfect people finding the blessings of grace where and when they least expect them. Bramhall gives the diverse characters unique voices that illuminate their personalities. Two characters worthy of note are the writer who recounts the story "Redemption" and the doomed Maximus Octavius Reinhold. The writer speaks directly to the listener as he reconnects with a lost nephew and together they build a more meaningful future. The gravelly voice of Maximus lets his bruised heart show through his bravado. Every story is narrated with perfection. N.E.M.
