Master vampire playboy Ian may have a case of amnesia, but he is certain of one thing: Veritas is his wife. Gilbert's spirited performance captures the heat between Veritas and Ian and further draws the listener into the couple's world. Some of the accents she gives the worldly characters are inconsistent, most noticeably that of Veritas; however, this lapse does not interfere with enjoying the story.
