With a subtle Canadian accent, narrator Meghan Kelly has the listener feeling right at home in Moonflower Bay, a small town on a lake a few hours outside of Toronto. Eve Abbott has inherited Mermaid Inn from her aunt and needs to fix it up before she can sell it. Kelly expresses Eve's trepidation as she returns to Moonflower Bay, where Sawyer Collins, the man who broke her heart years ago, is now the sheriff. Kelly does a good job creating different voices for the people of the town--from the elderly shop owners to Sawyer's friends--making it easy for listeners to distinguish them. The story provides an enjoyable listening experience as Eve and Sawyer overcome their past and find love again. S.B. © AudioFile 2020, Portland, Maine [Published: MARCH 2020]
