She infuses Leo with a playful intensity that conjures her ambition to use her mother's magical recipes. Listeners who are looking for a unique listening experience as well as a diverting story will be entranced by Garcia's performance. She is peppy, upbeat, and rapid in her delivery, all of which mirror the character perfectly. The life of Leo's Latino family in small-town Texas is full of dramatic opportunities. Garcia maximizes all of them with her enthusiastic performance. She captures the cadence of the Spanish words scattered throughout the text as well as the spirited group of witches training Leo to channel her own magic.
