A KILLER'S WIFE Desert Plains, Book 1

Narrator Brittany Pressley portrays Jessica Yardley, who, 14 years ago, while pregnant, discovered that her husband was a serial killer. Pressley conveys high emotion in her voice, tone, and tempo as she voices Jessica, who is now a federal prosecutor raising a teenage daughter. Jessica is drawn into investigating a series of brutal murders in what appear to be copycat versions of her husband's atrocities. In a similar structure to that of "Law and Order," the first half of the audiobook is the intense search for the perpetrator, and the second half is the courtroom drama. In addition to successfully portraying the female characters, Pressley effectively delivers the male characters--heroes, villains, and those we can't be sure of.
