Her solution is to team up with her ex-love interest, Seth Cabel, who has mystical powers, to put a stop to the threat. Rodgers seamlessly slips between a variety of accents and character portrayals, including an authentic-sounding Scottish accent and a believable young boy. Her strong voicings help listeners follow the twisting story. Her clarity and emphasis are particularly important because this is the 27th book in the Eve Duncan series and the wide cast of characters with their diverse back stories might be confusing for those who aren't somewhat familiar with them.
