Narrator Martyn Swain's stentorian delivery is a nearly perfect match of voice and text in this 1933 compilation of lectures by the influential psychoanalyst. Jung's lectures, while focused on the psychological, touch very much on the theological/spiritual, which has been so neglected in our data/evidence-based/materialistic world. Indeed, many of Jung's arguments are refutations of the ideas of Freud. Looking at a number of belief systems, he notes how much the psyche, the soul, is something that must be considered in looking at humans. Swain's enunciation is precise, and while his intonation is somewhat staccato, one is able to follow this work quite easily. His expression is understated but appropriate throughout.
